This policy explains how ECOMMERCE STORE LTD (trading as ALIGC) uses cookies and similar storage on aligc.com. It should be read with our privacy notice. We follow the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR: essential cookies run because the store cannot work without them; optional cookies wait for your choice in the banner.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use local storage (for example aligc_v1) for the same jobs: remembering your bag, city, language and sign-in session. In this policy “cookies” includes that local storage.

Session cookies expire when you close the browser. Persistent cookies last for the period in the table below, or until you delete them.

2. Who sets them

  • First-party — set by aligc.com to run the shop.
  • Third-party — set by a payment, analytics or map provider if you use that feature or accept optional cookies. Those providers may process data under their own notices.

3. Types we use

Essential

Required for the store to function. They keep your shopping bag, checkout steps, language, theme, cookie choice and signed-in session. These do not require consent.

Functional

Remember the city used by Local Price Radar and recently viewed products so the homepage feels consistent. If you reject non-essential cookies we still show prices, but we may ask your city again next visit.

Analytics (optional)

Help us see which help pages, deals and search terms are useful. We use aggregated counts, not profiles sold to advertisers. These run only if you choose “Accept all”.

Marketing (optional)

Used only if you accept them — for example to measure a paid-ad click or to avoid showing the same banner every hour. You can shop without them. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies unless the banner says so.

4. Cookie list

Payment fields on checkout run in a PCI-certified frame. That provider may set its own strictly necessary cookies to complete a card payment. Klarna, if you choose it, sets cookies needed to open its checkout.

5. How to manage cookies

  • Use the banner the first time you visit, or reopen preferences from this page (the footer link “Cookies” always leads here).
  • Choose Accept all or Essential only. You can change your mind later; we store the new choice in aligc_consent.
  • Delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete essential cookies your bag and language will reset.
  • Most browsers let you block third-party cookies. The shop will still work; some payment windows may ask you to allow them for the duration of checkout.

Browser help: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.

6. Third parties

We do not allow advertising networks to drop tracking cookies until you accept optional cookies. Carriers’ tracking pages (once you click a tracking link) are outside aligc.com and follow that carrier’s cookie policy.

Fonts may be requested from Google Fonts. That request can expose your IP address to Google. If you have blocked third-party requests, the store falls back to system fonts.

7. Changes

If we add a new optional cookie we will update this table and, where PECR requires, ask for consent again. Questions: privacy@aligc.com.
